US Freedom Caravan heads to Washington to demand halt to funding for Israel

WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 (YPA) – The “US Freedom Caravan 2026” continues its journey from Los Angeles to Washington with 42 participants demanding that the needs of citizens be prioritized and that US funding that contributes to the suffering of Palestinians be stopped.

The caravan set off on October 17 from in front of the Israeli Consulate in Los Angeles on a 10-day journey, arriving in Washington on October 26 to deliver the “We the People” petition to Congress before the midterm elections on November 3.

It includes representatives of religious groups, former employees, and veterans, and demands that priorities be set for health, housing, and education, an end to funding the occupation, and the right to criticize Israeli policies without being silenced.

The caravan passes through a number of cities, including Las Vegas, Flagstaff, Albuquerque, Amarillo, Tulsa, St. Louis, and Chicago, before arriving in Washington.
