Sanaa official urges people of southern, eastern provinces to reject Saudi recruitment drives

SANAA, Oct. 19 (YPA) – Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, a member of Sanaa’s Supreme Political Council, addressed an urgent and important message on Monday to the people of Yemen’s southern and eastern governorates.

In a press statement, Bin Habtoor called upon the residents of these governorates not to respond to calls by Saudi Arabia and its paid proxies for recruitment and mobilization, and urged them not to allow their sons to be turned into fuel for wars that serve neither their national nor personal interests.

He affirmed that recent strikes by the Yemeni army (Sanaa forces) on Saudi mobilizations in Al-Suqya, Ras Al-Ara, and Al-Alam Camp —along with reported casualties resulting from them—reveal the grave danger of continuing to thrust the youth of the southern and eastern governorates into military confrontations to serve foreign agendas.

Furthermore, Dr. Bin Habtoor stressed that the blood of the people of these governorates is too precious to be shed in avoidable conflicts, asserting that protecting the south and its people requires neutralizing it from Saudi movements and mobilizations, preserving lives, and prioritizing national interest over foreign intervention calculations.
