CNN: Trump says Saudi Arabia would welcome Israeli assistance against Yemen

WASHINGTON, Oct. 19 (YPA) – US President Donald Trump believes Saudi Arabia would welcome Israeli assistance in confronting Yemen’s Houthis, CNN reported.

Trump said “Israel” had provided useful support to Saudi Arabia and expressed confidence that the kingdom would accept Israeli assistance when asked whether Riyadh was willing to take up an Israeli offer.

He also suggested that the security cooperation could open the door to renewed discussions on Saudi Arabia normalizing relations with “Israel” under the Abraham Accords. He said the prospects for an agreement with Riyadh might be better than ever.

Trump added that Saudi Arabia was pleased to receive support from both the United States and “Israel”, suggesting the potential for closer cooperation amid the escalation related to Yemen.
