Leaked documents reveal permanent Saudi committee to co-opt Yemeni faction leaders, enforce strict loyalty standards

SANAA, Oct. 14 (YPA) – Leaked documents obtained by Al-Masirah TV channel have revealed the establishment of a permanent Saudi regime committee dedicated to co-opting and evaluating leaders of pro-Saudi Yemeni factions.

According to the documents, these efforts were concentrated at the newly established Saudi mobilization base in Mocha prior to its ouster. The committee adopted “loyalty to the Saudi Kingdom” as a primary criterion for evaluating these figures, subjecting them to rigorous assessments featuring a grading system measuring loyalty, alongside military and social influence.

The documents indicated that the Saudi regime stipulated “serving the Kingdom’s objectives in Yemen” and agenda alignment as fundamental conditions for accepting and nominating faction leaders.

Furthermore, the regulations mandated “loyalty to the Kingdom” and “serving its objectives in Yemen” as decisive criteria for nominating faction leaders and local officials for residency and financial perks at the newly established base in Mocha before Saudi forces were driven out of the area.
