In Video: Sanaa forces take control of remaining areas in Taiz districts

SANAA, Oct. 11 (YPA) – Sanaa forces announced on Saturday that they had driven out Saudi-backed forces and secured the remaining areas of Same’a, Al-Silw and Al-Mawasit districts in Taiz Governorate, southwestern Yemen.

Sanaa’s military media released photos and footage showing coordinated military operations to secure the areas, alongside scenes of groups of Saudi-backed forces surrendering to government forces in response to a general amnesty decree issued by President Mahdi al-Mashat last month.

 

The footage showed fighters advancing through several locations, as well as scenes of captured personnel receiving food and medical care for their wounds.

 

It also appeared to show Yemeni forces refraining from firing on retreating fighters, according to the military media report.
