Sayyed Al-Houthi reaffirms support for Gaza on “Al-Aqsa Flood” anniversary, readiness for escalation

SANAA, Oct. 07 (YPA) – The leader of Yemen’s Ansarallah movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, reaffirmed on Wednesday Yemen’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people, emphasizing readiness to respond with full capacity to any upcoming escalation.

In a televised address marking the third anniversary of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, Sayyed al-Houthi reviewed key regional and international developments tied to the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Sayyed Al-Houthi highlighted the global impact of the October 7 operation, noting what he described as growing international rejection of Zionism, pointing to walkouts by several delegations during Israeli occupation’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly. He criticized the United Nations for granting “Israel” a seat at the General Assembly, calling it a blow to the founding principles of the international organization.

Addressing the humanitarian situation in Gaza, al-Houthi stated that Palestinians continue to face severe suffering despite cease-fire agreements, accusing Israeli occupation forces of non-compliance. He noted that thousands of casualties have been recorded since the cease-fire took effect, with ongoing daily killings, house demolitions, and aggression. He added that “Israel” continues to block the entry of tents, mobile homes, and essential services into Gaza.

Sayyed Al-Houthi further criticized the US role in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, describing it as “shameful” and exposed globally. He alleged that Washington has acted to contain the situation and cover up Israeli occupation crimes while seeking to achieve its objectives incrementally. He also warned against diminishing international attention toward Gaza, calling on the broader Arab and Islamic nation to take responsibility.

Regarding the West Bank, Sayyed al-Houthi stressed the need for Palestinian steadfastness against forced displacement, settlement expansions, and land fragmentation aimed at isolating the area from occupied Jerusalem. He asserted that Israeli occupation actions target the entire Palestinian population rather than specific resistance factions, reflecting a broader strategy of regional dominance and the concept of “Greater Israel.”

Reviewing Yemen’s stance since the outbreak of the war, Sayyed al-Houthi outlined Yemen’s military and popular actions in support of Palestinians, citing weekly mass rallies and military operations carried out by Yemeni forces up until the cease-fire announcement.

He reiterated that Yemen remains committed to supporting Palestinians in any future escalation within the framework of the “Axis of Jihad and Resistance.”

Concluding his address, Sayyed al-Houthi commemorated former Chief of Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Muhammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari, praising his contributions and noting the sacrifices made by Yemeni forces in solidarity with Palestine. He reaffirmed that the Palestinian cause represents a collective responsibility across the region and the Islamic world.
