Young man found hanged in Aden under mysterious conditions

ADEN, Sept. 30 (YPA) – A young man was found dead by hanging from a tree in Al-Sanāfir neighborhood of Al-Mansoura district in the Saudi-controlled southern Yemeni city of Aden on Wednesday, under mysterious circumstances.

A human rights source in the city reported that residents of Al-Sanāfir were shocked to find the young man’s body hanging by a rope from one of the trees in the neighborhood.

The source explained that the young man’s identity and the actual circumstances surrounding the incident remain unknown, with no information released by the Saudi-backed authorities so far.

The source attributed the recurrence of suicide cases in Aden to the severe deterioration in living and economic conditions, along with mounting psychological and social pressures affecting young people and residents.

The incident comes amid calls for an urgent investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the young man’s death, as well as measures to address the severe livelihood crises exacerbating the suffering of residents in Aden.
