Gunmen intercept bus carrying Hadramout’s Tadamoun Club fans in Abyan

ADEN, Sept. 26 (YPA) – Armed men intercepted a bus carrying fans of Hadramout’s Tadamoun Club on Saturday as it was traveling on the coastal road in Ahwar district, Abyan province, local sources said.

According to the sources, the gunmen—identified as members of the Al-Bakazim tribe—blocked the road in front of the bus as the fans were returning from Friday’s match against Al-Wehda Sports Club (Aden) at Al-Hubaishi Football Stadium.

The incident comes amid a growing wave of armed roadblocks and ongoing abuses along the coastal road connecting Aden and Hadhramaut provinces through Ahwar.

In the most recent incident last June, a taxi driver from Hadhramaut’s Al-Qatn district was attacked in the same area and had his ear cut off.
