GAZA, Sept. 20 (YPA) – A Palestinian was injured by Israeli army gunfire in southern Gaza on Sunday as Israeli occupation forces continued shelling, demolition and other military operations across the Gaza Strip, damaging property and causing further destruction.
According to Palestinian sources, a citizen was injured by Israeli gunfire in the Bir 19 area of Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis.
Israeli military vehicles also targeted areas north of Beit Lahia, while Israeli forces fired illumination flares over the town. Illumination flares were also fired east of Jabalia al-Balad in northern Gaza.
In Gaza City, Israeli warships opened fire toward the city’s coastline, while Israeli tanks fired heavily east of the city. Israeli helicopters also opened fire in eastern and northern Gaza.
In central Gaza, the Israeli army continued demolition operations east of Deir al-Balah and Bureij refugee camp.
In southern Gaza, Israeli helicopters opened fire around Al-Alam Roundabout, south of Al-Mawasi in Rafah, while gunfire was also reported east of Khan Younis.
Southern and eastern Khan Younis also came under heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles, while Israeli artillery shelled areas south of the city.
