GENEVA, Sept. 19 (YPA) – The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor confirmed, on Friday, that Israel has complete control over the entry of aid and people into Gaza, deciding who, what, and when is allowed to enter, to the point that the work of aid workers is now contingent on its approval.
On Thursday, the Monitor published a video documenting the targeting of 14-year-old Mohammed al-Zanati with an Israeli-made “Melikot” guided bomb in a second airstrike while he was trying to rescue a Civil Defense member who had been injured in a first airstrike in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of northern Gaza last Tuesday.
The Monitor also stated that the use of a guided missile against a child reveals that the strike was targeted and refutes Israel’s claims of sparing civilians, emphasizing that targeting civilians while rescuing the wounded is a grave violation of international law and may constitute a war crime.
