Footage shows military fortifications inside Yemen’s Mocha Port
SANAA, Sept. 10 (YPA) – Recently released video footage reveals underground fortifications and military infrastructure inside the Red Sea port of Mocha, near the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait, according to a report published Friday by the Ansarallah’s Al-Masirah television network.
The network reported that the imagery shows fortified barracks, underground shelters, and basements within the port complex. According to the report, these facilities were utilized by Saudi forces—and previously by Emirati forces—as a command center to direct military operations in Yemen over the past several years.
The coverage further stated that Saudi forces had converted the commercial port into a fully integrated, heavily fortified military operations hub. The report asserted that the facility functioned as a military base housing senior foreign commanders and troops, rather than serving purely civilian maritime purposes.
