SANAA, Sept. 11 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning forecast scattered rainfall of varying intensity across several governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to the center’s weather bulletin, rainfall of varying intensity, accompanied by strong downdraft winds and occasional hail, is expected in Shabwa, Bayda, Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Mahwit and Hajjah, as well as parts of the Tihama Plain.
Moderate to heavy rain, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms, is expected in Saada, Amran and Sanaa, as well as the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, Marib, Jawf, Hadramout and Al-Mahra, and parts of the western coast.
The center warned residents to avoid valleys, ravines, and flood channels during and after heavy rain, and cautioned motorists against crossing flooded low-water bridges.
It also warned of severe thunderstorms and reduced visibility caused by heavy rainfall and dense fog along mountain roads and passes.
The center urged relevant authorities to take the necessary measures to protect lives and property.
