Al-Ajri: Saudi Arabia responded to peace efforts with intransigence, delays

SANAA, Sept. 11 (YPA) – Member of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, Abdul-Malik Al-Ajri, said Saudi Arabia has responded to peace efforts aimed at ending the effects of the comprehensive blockade on Yemen with intransigence and delays.

In a post on X, Al-Ajri said attempts to intimidate international parties over the actions of the Yemen’s Sanaa-based armed forces in the Bab Al-Mandab are an exposed fallacy, stressing that the forces’ targets have been publicly declared and are limited to those imposing the blockade on Yemen.

He said the international community understands that Yemen’s actions fall within its legitimate right to self-defense, stressing that Yemen does not target anyone but confronts those who have attacked it.
