Gaza health ministry: Death toll from Israeli genocidal war mounts to 73,470

GAZA, Sept. 02 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip affirmed on Wednesday that the death toll from the Israeli genocidal war has risen to 73,470, with 174,540 others injured, since October 7, 2023.

In its daily statistical report on casualties resulting from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the ministry said Gaza hospitals received eight fatalities—seven newly killed and one who succumbed to previous wounds—as well as 31 injured people over the past 24 hours.

It said the death toll since the ceasefire on October 11 has reached 1,334, with 4,429 others injured, while 815 people have been recovered from under the rubble.

“Several victims remain trapped under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews remain unable to reach them to this day,” the ministry added.
