Yemen: Gold prices reach new highs in Sanaa, Aden

SANAA, Aug. 31 (YPA) – Gold prices in Yemen recorded new figures on Monday across goldsmiths and jewelry markets in Aden and Sanaa.

In markets under the Sanaa-based government, the gold sovereign (guinea) reached 536,000 Yemeni Rials, while the price per gram of 21-karat gold stood at 68,600 Rials. This follows a price increase last week that exceeded 30,000 Rials per sovereign and 4,000 Rials per gram.

In markets under the Aden-based government, the gold sovereign reached 1,558,000 Rials, and 21-karat gold was recorded at 201,000 Rials per gram. This comes after last week’s price hikes topped 110,000 Rials per sovereign and 11,000 Rials per gram.
