Iran’s military official: Over1,000 Israeli soldiers killed in war with Iran

TEHRAN, Aug. 31 (YPA) – Spokesman for the Iranian Armed Forces Brig. Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi clarified on Monday that more than 1,000 Israeli occupation’s military personnel were killed during the with Iran, while thousands more were wounded.

According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, Shekarchi made the remarks while discussing the Ramadan War, describing the US military as a Hollywood propaganda army created to plunder the resources of Islamic countries and exploit them.

“Our greatest achievement was bringing down the Hollywood image of the US military and the Zionist entity, enabling the world to recognize the weakness of both militaries and their declining morale,” he said.

Shekarchi added that countries around the world, including some that host US military bases, no longer trust Washington, saying they have concluded that a country incapable of defending itself cannot defend its allies.

Regarding US military casualties, Shekarchi said available data and indicators suggested that the United States had lost hundreds of troops during the third imposed war against Iran, while thousands of American military personnel were also wounded.

He further said that during the Israeli aggression against Iran, carried out in cooperation with the US military, more than 1,000 Israeli soldiers were killed and thousands more wounded.

“The United States and the Zionist entity lie when announcing the actual numbers of their dead and wounded and conceal the truth,” Shekarchi said, adding that Washington has on some occasions announced the deaths of US troops in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq years after the incidents occurred.

On the Strait of Hormuz, Shekarchi noted that the US president and his allies and supporters had come to be viewed as symbols of evil and aggression.

“Our response to the US president and all other American officials is that considering the Strait of Hormuz part of their sphere of influence will remain nothing more than a dream,” he said.

He stressed that Iran would not allow US forces to remain in the region, reaffirming Tehran’s determination to drive the United States out of West Asia.

The Iranian Armed Forces spokesman also vowed retaliation for the killing of Sayyed Ali Khamenei, as well as for those killed at the “Shajarat Tayyiba” school in Minab and in the city of Lar, along with other civilians, stressing that retaliation would come sooner or later.
