Iran’s Army targets US air base in UAE with retaliatory drone strikes

TEHRAN, Aug. 31 (YPA) – The Iranian Army said it had carried out retaliatory drone strikes against US troops and helicopters at Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates.

In a statement on Monday, the Army’s public relations department announced that the American base was targeted in response to the killing of members of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) and civilians in Sunday’s US attack on Iran’s Larak Island.

“Since early morning, the Islamic Republic of Iran Army has targeted locations housing US military helicopters and personnel at Al Minhad base in the UAE with dozens of explosive drones,” the statement said.

The Al Minhad Air Base is a military installation located south of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, and is known as an important logistics and air transport hub for foreign forces.
