RAMALLAH, Aug. 31 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces this morning began large-scale demolition operations in the al-Saqi area of Birzeit, north of Ramallah.
Palestinian sources reported that Israeli occupation forces raided the Ain al-Saqi area beneath the Atara Bridge and began demolishing two residential buildings, each four stories high, with each floor covering 250 square meters. The buildings are owned by Palestinian resident Karim Salama al-Nabali.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission had reported that Israeli occupation authorities carried out 70 demolition operations in July, targeting 155 Palestinian structures, including 39 inhabited homes and 99 agricultural structures.
The demolitions were concentrated in the Qalqiliya and Jerusalem governorates. The authorities also issued 51 demolition notices, mainly in the Bethlehem and Hebron governorates.
