Civilian injured in Saudi artillery attack on Yemen’s border areas

SAADA, Aug. 29 (YPA) – The Saudi army continued its attacks on Yemen’s border areas, targeting civilian homes and property in parts of Saada province in northern Yemen on Saturday.

A security source in the province said the Saudi artillery fired at farms and civilian homes in the Al-Harf area of Baqim district, injuring a civilian and causing property damage.

On Friday, Saudi artillery shelling targeted areas and villages in the Al Thabet area of Qatabir district, a border district in the same province.

Populated border areas of Saada in northern Yemen have faced daily Saudi attacks using various types of heavy and medium weapons for the past 11 years, leaving dozens of civilian casualties and causing extensive damage to homes and property.
