TAIZ, Aug. 29 (YPA) – A child was killed and another was injured on Saturday when a shell fired by Saudi-backed gunmen struck the Al-Araf area in the Maqbanah District of Taiz Governorate, according to local sources.
Local sources reported that the shell landed in the area, causing the casualty and injury among civilians.
The incident comes two days after a young boy was killed while grazing sheep, with several head of livestock also killed, following targeting of civilian homes and farms in the Khadir District of Taiz Governorate by Saudi-backed militants.
Since early August, the Taiz and Dhale governorates have experienced continued attacks by Saudi-backed forces, which have resulted in deaths and injuries—including among children—as well as material damage to civilian properties and farmland.
