Israeli occupation army sets fires between Aita al-Jabal, Haddatha areas in Southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, Aug. 29 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army set fires, on Saturday, in the area between the towns of Aita al-Jabal and Haddatha in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon.

The National News Agency reported that the wind speed contributed to the spread of the fires and the consumption of large areas of trees and dry grass, making it difficult for firefighting teams to reach the site.

The occupation has been escalating its aggression against Lebanon since March 2, targeting towns and cities, which has led to thousands of martyrs and wounded and the displacement of about 1.5 million Lebanese.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on June 18 the signing of an electronic memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran that includes a ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon, but the occupation continues its daily violations of the agreement.
