Sanaa warns maritime insurers against false Saudi assurances on navigation safety

SANAA, Aug. 28 (YPA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa has warned maritime insurance companies against being misled by Saudi assurances regarding the safety of navigation, stressing that such assurances do not reflect the actual risks amid the continued escalation and blockade.

In a statement issued Thursday, the ministry said the Saudi regime continues its efforts to mobilize its supporters and mercenaries to harm Yemen and tear apart its social fabric, noting that those who refuse to participate in its schemes face coercive measures, including house arrest.

It added that the Saudi regime continues its blockade of Yemeni airports and ports and the seizure of national resources, aiming to exhaust Yemen and impoverish its people.

The ministry stressed that these practices are now having repercussions for the kingdom, including attacks on its military mobilizations, the blockade of its ports, and mounting economic losses.

It warned maritime insurance companies against being misled by false Saudi assurances and becoming entangled in the repercussions of the escalation, stressing that the risks associated with maritime navigation in Saudi waters cannot be overcome through statements or assurances alone.

The ministry  affirmed that Yemen is determined to reclaim its rights, stressing that taking action has become a religious responsibility, a popular demand, and a national necessity.
