Israeli occupation forces carry out fresh attacks on southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, Aug. 21 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces on Friday attacked several villages and towns in southern Lebanon with artillery fire and machine guns, while also carrying out demolitions in residential areas, Lebanese media sources reported.

According to the Lebanese sources, the Israeli occupation forces shelled the Wadi Saluki area toward Mais al-Jabal in Marjayoun district.

In Nabatieh district, Israeli artillery struck the outskirts of Mayfadoun, while warplanes targeted the Doha area of Kfar Rumman and the Ali al-Taher heights.

In the same district, Israeli forces carried out two major explosions, one between Arnoun and Kfar Tibnit, and another in Kfar Tibnit.

In Tyre district, an Israeli airstrike hit the town of al-Mansouri. No casualties were reported.

Israeli artillery also shelled Al-Mansouri in Tyre District, while Israeli forces conducted a demolition operation on the outskirts of Majdal Zoun.

In Bint Jbeil District, Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike on Baraachit, while Israeli forces conducted machine-gun fire toward Haddatha.

The attacks came amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire, with Israeli forces repeatedly targeting villages and towns in southern Lebanon with airstrikes, artillery shelling, and drone attacks, while also dropping incendiary and explosive bombs on residential areas and streets, setting fire to forests, and demolishing homes and residential neighborhoods.
