Yemen armed forces strike Saudi-backed weapons depot in Marib
SNAAA, Aug. 17 (YPA) – Yemen’s Sanaa-based armed forces declared on Monday they had targeted a weapons depot belonging to Saudi-backed military forces at the Sahn al-Jinn camp in Marib province.
military spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yahya Sarie, said in a military statement the operation was carried out using several drones and accurately hit the depot, causing it to catch fire.
The statement came less than an hour after Sanaa forces announced that they had set fire to a Saudi military landing ship and sunk several accompanying military boats in the Red Sea off the coast of Mocha, western Yemen.
It clarified that the vessel was targeted with several ballistic missiles in what they described as a direct and accurate strike.
The statement added that the operation resulted in the ship being completely burned, while several boats sank and others caught fire.
It affirmed that the armed forces were closely monitoring Saudi military movements and deployments and would target them on land and at sea, reaffirming their policy of blockade for blockade and targeting Saudi deployments wherever they are.
