Sanaa reaffirms support for Lebanese resistance, condemns Israeli escalation

SANAA, Aug. 15 (YPA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Sanaa government,  said on Saturday that the anniversary of the Lebanese resistance’s victory represents a milestone that confirms “the truth of the divine promise of inevitable victory,” reaffirming its continued support for the Lebanese resistance in confronting the Israeli occupation.

In a statement, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday that the anniversary comes as Israel steps up its attacks on Lebanon and commits “the most heinous crimes” against the Lebanese civilians.

The ministry criticized the Lebanese authorities, saying their silence over the attacks amounted to complicity, and accused some Arab governments of supporting Israel’s agenda.

The statement noted that the developments in Lebanon come amid the ongoing confrontation between the Lebanese resistance and the Israeli occupation, while Lebanese authorities pursue negotiations with “Israel,” which the ministry said provides political cover for Israeli attacks.

It also addressed recent developments in Lebanon, referring to the massacre in the towns of Ansar and Deir al-Zahrani and saying that the “framework agreement” has become a cover for continued Israeli attacks.

The ministry added that the attacks have continued due to the “subservience of certain regimes” and their involvement in an alliance serving the Israeli occupation.

It reaffirmed Yemen’s commitment to the “resistance project,” citing the movement’s major sacrifices and the deaths of thousands of people, including prominent leaders. It stressed the resistance would not retreat despite the heavy toll and sacrifices.

The statement concluded by reaffirming that Yemen is part of the ongoing battle against the “Zionist project,” reiterating its support for Hezbollah and the Lebanese resistance.
