China and Egypt to conduct joint air exercise in mid-August

CAIRO, Aug. 15 (YPA) – China and Egypt announced their intention to conduct a joint air training exercise in Egypt called “Eagles of Civilizations 2026,” from mid-August to early September.

Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Chen Xi said the exercise will focus on air combat tactics, air superiority operations, combat search and rescue, as well as training related to the use of forces.

Chen explained that this is the second such exercise between the air forces of the two countries.
