DAMASCUS, Aug. 14 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces, on Friday, fired randomly towards a neighborhood in the village of Ma’ariya in the western countryside of Daraa Governorate, southern Syria.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights did not report any casualties, but confirmed that the occupation forces have been carrying out continuous field movements in the area for days, with infantry groups advancing from the “Al-Jazira Barracks” towards the “Mortar Company” position, as part of intensifying their presence and deployment on the border strip and the neutral plains in the Daraa countryside.
These developments coincide with incursions and redeployments carried out by the occupation forces in various areas of southern Syria, exacerbating instability and posing a direct threat to the safety of civilians and farmers in border villages and towns.
