Protests against Hadi gov’t corruption continue in Aden

ADEN, Aug. 9 (YPA) – Protests demanding the departure of the exiled Hadi’s government in the southern port city of Aden continued on Thursday for the sixth day in a row, according to Yemen Press Agency’s reporter.

Dozens of protesters blocked several streets in Mansoura district, burning tires and interrupting the traffic movement.

This escalation came after the deterioration of the services because of the government corruption, which led to the national currency collapse against dollar, some protesters said.

The Hadi’s government has printed 800 billion riyals recently without any cash insurance, after it had failed in conducting any economic reforms since the transfer of the central bank from the capital Sanaa to Aden city in September 2016.
