UN Rapporteur Albanese criticizes international silence on crimes of Israeli occupation and settlers in the West Bank

GENEVA, Aug. 13 (YPA) – The UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, Francesca Albanese, criticized on Thursday the international and UN stance on the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation army and settlers in the West Bank.

In a post on the “X” platform Albanese said: “I am deeply shocked to see the Israeli mob and army destroying the lives of Palestinians.”

She addressed countries, heads of UN agencies, the World Bank, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and humanitarian and non-governmental organizations, saying: “What are you doing to stop these acts of violence that amount to war crimes?”

This comes amidst an escalation of daily attacks by the occupation and its settlers in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, which include killing, arrests, house demolitions, displacement, and settlement expansion.
