Marib security official denies reports of road closure between Marib, Bayda

MARIB, Aug. 10 (YPA) – A security official in Yemen’s Marib province denied on Monday reports circulating in some media outlets and on social media platforms claiming that the Sanaa authorities had cut off the road linking Marib and Bayda provinces.

The official stressed that the reports were completely false and had no basis in fact.

He explained that traffic obstruction and harassment of travelers and commuters are repeatedly carried out by the Al-Falaj checkpoint in Marib city, which is controlled by the other side.

The official called on media outlets to exercise caution and accuracy and to obtain information from reliable official sources, warning against being drawn into rumors and misleading reports aimed at causing public concern and misinformation.
