SANAA, Aug. 10 (YPA) – A conjoined twin baby died while being transported by road from the capital, Sanaa, to Aden in an effort to facilitate his transfer abroad for the medical care he needed, according to sources at the Sanaa Ministry of Health.
The sources said the child had spent more than a week at Al-Sabeen Hospital in Sanaa as efforts were made to secure an urgent opportunity to travel abroad for treatment. However, medical authorities were unable to arrange his transfer due to his need for specialized care that is not available locally.
They noted that the continued closure of Sanaa International Airport prevented the child from being transported abroad by air in time, forcing an attempt to move him by road before he died during the journey.
