Iran says it has foiled US plot to launch ground attack against it

TEHRNA, Aug. 04 (YPA) – Major General Mohsen Rezaee, advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, confirmed that an American plot to launch a ground attack against Iran has been thwarted. He explained that targeting bridges and infrastructure in Hormozgan Province was intended to sever the Iranian coastline and the Strait of Hormuz from the country’s mainland.

In statements to Iranian state television, Rezaee attributed the failure of the plan to “miscalculations” by the leadership of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM). He revealed that Iranian strikes caused significant damage to a US base in Kuwait, leading to the evacuation of Erbil and the relocation of CENTCOM headquarters from Jordan to the occupied Palestinian territories.

Rezaee emphasized that Iran will not allow the opening of a “second corridor” in the Strait of Hormuz and will target any military forces or warships approaching it. He further warned that actions by US President Donald Trump could ignite a “Third World War,” with the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz serving as its most dangerous fuel.
