SANAA, Aug. 02 (YPA) – The Specialized Criminal Court in Sanaa began on Sunday the trial of a seven-member armed gang accused of murder, arson, and forgery in Sanaa and Dhalea province.
The prosecution charged the suspects with forming an armed group to attack citizens and disturb public security.
The indictment added that they carried out shootings targeting homes and a hotel, resulting in one death, an attempted murder, and property damage.
The first defendant was also accused of setting fire to a vehicle, damaging a water well with a grenade in Dhalea, and forging official documents to evade a previous death sentence.
The court granted the prosecution permission to present evidence in the next hearing and ordered the victims to be notified to attend.
