US deploys spy planes near Saudi-Yemeni border

SANAA, Aug. 02 (YPA) – Satellite imagery and flight-tracking data revealed on Sunday that the United States has deployed surveillance aircraft near the Saudi-Yemeni border, amid reported US preparations for a new escalation in the region.

Tracking websites published images showing a Boeing E-3G Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft conducting patrols over southern Saudi Arabia.

The specialized aircraft is designed for tracking drones and missiles. This marks the first reported deployment of such reconnaissance capabilities near the Saudi-Yemeni border.
