BAGHDAD, July 30 (YPA) – Iraq’s military spokesperson Sabah Al-Numan said there is no evidence that any attacks were launched by Iraqi territory towards Saudi Arabia.
Speaking to the Iraqi News Agency, Al-Numan stressed that the government will not allow any unilateral actions originating from Iraq, while also rejecting any violations of the country’s sovereignty from outside its borders.
He added that Iraq’s security institutions are preparing a comprehensive security plan aimed at preventing future attacks, strengthening border protection, and fully safeguarding the country’s sovereignty.
Al-Numan emphasized that the official security forces are the only authority responsible for security matters, reaffirming that the government will not permit any weapons outside state control.
The remarks come amid rising regional tensions, as Baghdad reiterates its commitment to preventing Iraqi territory from being used as a launchpad for military operations while rejecting any external violations of its sovereignty.
