Four Palestinians killed, four injured by Israeli forces during attack by settlers near Nablus

NABLUS, July 24 (YPA) – Four Palestinians were killed by Israeli occupation forces on Friday during an attack by Israeli settlers on the village of Tell, southwest of Nablus,  the Palestinian  news agency WAFA reported, citing a statement issued by the Ministry of Health.

According to the statement, four other Palestinians were wounded by Israeli gunfire, three of them critically, while confronting the settler attack on the village.

Issam al-Saifi, secretary of the Fatah movement in Tell, said settlers attacked two homes in the eastern part of the town, prompting residents to confront them and force them to withdraw.

He said half an hour later, the settlers attacked the western part of the town again, leading to clashes between residents on one side and the settlers  and Israeli occupation forces, who stormed the area to provide them protection to the colonists.

He added that Israeli soldiers and settlers opened fire indiscriminately at residents, killing four young Palestinians, including two brothers and their two cousins, and injuring four others. Israeli forces also declared the town a closed military zone, while colonists continued to deploy around the area.

According to the Ministry of Health, 82 Palestinians have been killed in governorates across the occupied West Bank since the beginning of this year, including 21 who were killed by Israeli settlers.
