Iraq’s Kataib Hezbollah security official backs Yemen’s moves to break blockade

BADHDAD, July 15 (YPA) – Abu Mujahid Al-Assaf, the security official of Iraq’s Kataib Hezbollah, on Tuesday praised Yemenis for their efforts to break the blockade imposed on their country by Saudi Arabia, declaring his full support for their actions and asserting that Yemen possesses the means to turn the tables.

In a statement, Al-Assaf said: “We salute the movement of our brothers in Yemen and declare our absolute support for their blessed steps to break the blockade imposed by Al Saud and end the influence of Al Nahyan, which has increased the suffering of the oppressed Yemeni people. Either there is security for everyone or security for no one; either prosperity for everyone or deprivation for all. The Yemenis possess the cards capable of turning the tables.”

He added that “the repression of the followers of Ahl al-Bayt in the Gulf monarchies and at the hands of al-Jolani’s groups will not pass without consequences. The account will remain open, and the perpetrators will undoubtedly pay the price.”

Al-Assaf further stated that “if war breaks out against the Islamic Republic, the participation of the resistance forces will be immediate and decisive, as this decision is rooted in doctrine and is not subject to compromise.”

He also said that “the conduct of the ruling regime in Kuwait must be brought to an end, and that end should be by the sword.”

On domestic Iraqi affairs, Al-Assaf expressed support for campaigns targeting corruption but stressed that they “should not become a tool for settling political scores or excluding rivals,” adding that anti-corruption efforts should encompass all government institutions without exception.
