GAZA, July 14 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that two martyrs and 21 wounded arrived at the Strip’s hospitals within 24 hours, amid the ongoing catastrophic humanitarian repercussions of the Israeli aggression.
In a press statement, the ministry explained that the cumulative death toll since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,233 martyrs and 173,707 wounded, noting that the numbers are likely to increase as there are victims under the rubble and in the streets, with ambulance and civil defense teams unable to reach them due to the field conditions.
It added that the death toll from the occupation’s violations since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11 has reached 1,110 martyrs and 3,599 wounded, while teams have managed to recover 800 bodies of missing persons from under the rubble of destroyed homes and facilities.
The occupation continues its aggression against Gaza , 2023, which has resulted in more than 246,000 Palestinian casualties, including martyrs and wounded, the majority of whom are children and women, in addition to more than 11,000 missing persons whose fate remains unknown.
The aggression has caused the displacement of hundreds of thousands, exacerbated the famine crisis that has claimed the lives of civilians, most of them children, and caused widespread destruction of infrastructure and residential neighborhoods, obliterating large parts of the cities and regions of the Gaza Strip.
