SANAA, July 13 (YPA) – Member of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, responded to the Saudi aggression on Sanaa International Airport on Monday.
He wrote only two words in a post on X: “Patience has limits.”
Though short, the post was widely interpreted as a direct political and military warning to Saudi Arabia, signaling that continued escalation would not go unanswered and that the strike on the airport could mark a turning point beyond the relative calm that had prevailed in recent months.
The statement comes amid an increasingly confrontational tone from Sanaa, whose officials have held Saudi Arabia responsible for the airstrikes and its consequences.
They have repeatedly asserted that the strike on Sanaa International Airport will not go unanswered and declared that the de-escalation phase is over, warning that all options remain on the table in response to any further attacks.
By declaring that “patience has limits,” al-Houthi appeared to caution Riyadh against assuming that restraint would continue indefinitely, suggesting that the rules governing the conflict have shifted and that future attacks could provoke a stronger response.
While the message offered no details about the nature or timing of any potential retaliation, it left open the possibility of further escalation, indicating that the strike on Sanaa airport could become the catalyst for a new and more volatile phase of the conflict.
