ADEN, July 05 (YPA) – Employees and retirees of the Aden Refineries Company renewed their protest actions, demanding urgent intervention from the Saudi-backed government and company management to save the economic facility and quickly resume its suspended operations.
In a statement issued during their protest, the demonstrators called for the payment of all outstanding salaries and dues, and the implementation of previous agreements signed with the union committee.
The statement also included several key demands:
- A halt to retirement procedures until the company’s financial and administrative situation is resolved.
- Provision of comprehensive medical care for employees, retirees, and their families.
- Permanent employment for daily wage and piece-rate workers, and priority in hiring for the children of retired and deceased company employees.
- An immediate end to the arbitrary measures targeting union activity and its leaders.
The statement concluded by affirming the continuation of the protest movement and its escalation through peaceful and legal means until the demands are met, emphasizing that the refinery’s return to operation is the only guarantee for preserving the company’s future and the rights of its employees.
