Leaked audio sparks controversy with mutual allegations against pro-Saudi figures in Aden

ADEN, July 01 (YPA) – A leaked audio recording of a phone conversation between two prominent pro-Saudi leaders in Aden, southern Yemen, has ignited public outrage by exposing their alleged involvement in drug and alcohol trafficking, as well as one leader’s suspected ties to terrorist groups.

Activists recently shared the recording on social media, featuring Musleh al-Dharhani, the controversial police chief of Dar Saad district, and Adnan Ali bin Ali Ayash, a leader within the Fifth Brigade of the Al Amaliqa Forces.

The call contained intense arguments, mutual accusations, and harsh language, which activists condemned as indicative of a “moral collapse” within the Saudi-backed leadership.

Al-Dharhani accused Ayash, a Salafist leader, of participating in the hashish and drug trade, claiming to have evidence supporting these allegations. He also accused Ayash of connections to terrorist organizations like al-Qaeda and ISIS.

The leaked audio has sent shockwaves through Aden, prompting human rights and political activists to call for an urgent investigation and the removal of those involved in trafficking.

They argued that allowing these leaders to remain in power violates citizens’ rights and threatens social stability in the city.

Note: The agency apologizes for the offensive language present in the original recording but considers it vital for revealing the true nature of the leadership governing the Saudi-UAE- held provinces since 2016.
