SANAA, June 29 (YPA) – Deputy Foreign Minister of the Sanaa government, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, met on Sunday with Konstantinos Psykakos, Deputy Program Responsible at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Switzerland, to discuss strengthening cooperation and expanding humanitarian and medical programs in Yemen.
The meeting, also attended by Aynur Absimetova, the Head of Mission in Yemen for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Switzerland.
Abu Ras praised MSF Switzerland’s role in supporting Yemen’s humanitarian and medical sectors, stressing the need to scale up efforts to address the pressures on the health system.
He reaffirmed the Sanaa-based authorities’ readiness to facilitate the organization’s work and support its humanitarian operations.
For their part, Psykakos and Absimetova outlined the organization’s ongoing medical and humanitarian projects and activates across several Yemeni governorates.
They reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to continuing to provide humanitarian and medical assistance to the Yemeni people in order to alleviate their suffering.
