Meteorology forecasts rainfall across several Yemeni provinces

SANAA, June 26 (YPA) – Yemen’s National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast rainfall of varying intensity across several governorates over the next 24 hours.

According to the center’s latest weather bulletin, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Mahwit, and Hajjah.

Scattered rain showers, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms, are also expected over parts of the highlands of Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Bayda, Lahj, and Dhalea, as well as western areas of Sanaa, Amran, and Saada. Parts of the Tihama Plain are also expected to receive rainfall, the center said.

It warned citizens against entering or crossing valleys and flood-prone areas during and after rainfall due to the risk of sudden flash floods.
