Tehran links final agreement to Israeli pullout from Lebanon’s south

TEHRAN, June 25 (YPA) – A source close to the Iranian negotiating team said that the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from occupied Lebanese territory is a core condition for reaching any final agreement, describing it as a non-negotiable requirement for the Iranian side.

According to Iranian television, the source stated that the draft memorandum of understanding includes provisions guaranteeing Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, which were also reflected in the text agreed upon in Switzerland.

The source added that Iran is also insisting on a permanent ceasefire and a full Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory, stressing that no final agreement would be accepted without the fulfillment of both conditions.
