Sanaa warns “Israel” over continued attacks in southern Lebanon

SANAA, June 19 (YPA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sanaa government on Friday warned “Israel” against continuing its military aggression in Lebanon, saying the aggression has left thousands dead and injured and caused extensive damage to civilian infrastructure since early March.

In a statement, the ministry deemed the Israeli aggression on Lebanon as a blatant violation of international law and the Memorandum of Understanding that called for the immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon.

The statement accused the Israeli occupation of seeking to undermine efforts aimed at ending the aggression in the region.

It added that the Axis of Jihad and Resistance will not remain idle in the face of Israel’s ongoing escalation.

The ministry also praised the operations carried out by the Lebanese resistance against Israeli forces, describing them as a legitimate act of self-defense under international norms and laws.

The statement further reaffirmed that Yemen “remains fully prepared for any escalation by the United States and the Israeli enemy.”
