Extremist Ben-Gvir calls for ‘burning’ Lebanon’ after soldiers killed
OCCUPIED PALESTINE, 19 (YPA) – Extremist National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir on Friday called for intensified military operations against Lebanon following the killing of four Israeli soldiers in clashes in southern Lebanon.
In remarks posted on his X account, Ben-Gvir said: “For every tear of an Israeli mother, a thousand Lebanese mothers must weep. All of Lebanon must burn.”
He added: “With all due respect to the Americans, Israel must make it clear to the entire world that the blood of our sons and the security of our citizens are not forfeit.”
Ben-Gvir said “Israel” should adopt a firm stance on developments along the Lebanese front, stressing that national security must remain an uncompromising priority.
He said that “Israel” should send a clear message to the international community that it will not tolerate attacks on its soldiers and citizens, calling for an escalation of military operations against Lebanon.
Ben-Gvir noted he had conveyed his position directly to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “I told the Prime Minister, even in our private meetings: For every tear of an Israeli mother, a thousand Lebanese mothers must weep.”
The remarks came after the Israeli military announced that four soldiers had been killed during clashes in southern Lebanon, amid continuing tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border.
