3 killed, including man and his wife, raise death toll in occupied territories to 125

GAZA, June 18 (YPA) – A Palestinian man and his wife were killed, on Thursday morning, in a shooting in Qalansuwa, within the 1948 territories, as they left their home for work.

With the couple’s death, the number of murder victims in the Arab community since the beginning of this year has risen to 125, amid escalating violence and organized crime in Arab towns, and the absence of effective government measures to stop it.

Data shows that most of the victims were killed by gunfire, amid ongoing criticism of the Israeli police’s performance and their inability to pursue organized crime groups, which deepens the feeling of insecurity and increases the number of victims annually.

The incident comes hours after the killing of Samir Abu Arar, 40, in a shooting in Arara in the Negev.
