STC leader criticizes Aden government, accuses it of evading service responsibilities

ADEN, June 15 (YPA) – A leader in the dissolved Southern Transitional Council (STC) said on Monday that the Saudi-backed Aden government headed by Shai al-Zindani has chosen to evade its service responsibilities toward citizens.

STC leader Fadl Al-Jaadi, who is based in the Saudi capital Riyadh, said the government’s behavior has become limited to two paths: “engaging in political confrontation and creating crises, or escaping from service delivery and shirking responsibility.”

In a post on X, Al-Jaadi said the government’s resort to closing offices and engaging in futile battles over banners and images, while neglecting public services, reflects a state of confusion.

He added that authorities who fear the STC’s political presence while ignoring their own failure to provide basic services are directionless and lacking a clear compass.
