Two Palestinians injured in Gaza building collapse

GAZA, June 13 (YPA) – Two Palestinians were injured on Saturday in separate building collapse incidents in the Jabalia and Al-Maghazi refugee camps in northern and central Gaza.

Palestinian media sources said that a woman was injured when part of a house near Al-Tawba Mosque collapsed in the center of Jabalia refugee camp.

In a separate incident, a worker was injured after the roof of a structure collapsed on him in Al-Maghazi refugee camp.

The incidents come amid growing concerns over the condition of buildings damaged during the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

Thousands of structures across the territory have sustained significant damage, leaving them vulnerable to collapse due to weather conditions, structural instability, or nearby explosions.

Officials and humanitarian organizations have repeatedly warned residents about the dangers posed by damaged buildings, many of which have been deemed unsafe for habitation.

Despite these risks, many families continue to shelter in damaged homes, citing the lack of adequate alternatives and the harsh conditions in overcrowded displacement camps and temporary shelters.
