Two killed in Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon’s south

BEIRUT, June 13 (YPA) – Two people were killed in separate Israeli occupation airstrikes on southern Lebanon on Saturday, according to Lebanese media reports, amid continued tensions and Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that air strikes targeted the town of Rayhan in the Jezzine district, and town of Kfar Reman.

The agency also reported the occupation launches air raids on several other locations in southern Lebanon, including Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Siddiqine, Burj Qalawiyeh, Majdal Zoun, Deir Qanoun, Bazouriyeh, and Rashkananieh.

In addition, the occupation’s artillery shelling was reported in the town of Khirbet Selm in the Bint Jbeil district.

The reported attacks come despite a temporary ceasefire agreement that took effect earlier this year.

Lebanese authorities and media outlets have repeatedly accused Israeli occupation of violating the ceasefire through continued military operations in southern Lebanon.
